It's no secret that the Palin family have had their fair share of legal issues in the past. The latest drama involves Track Palin who was arrested on Saturday night in the same town where his mother was once mayor.

Palin trouble

Ever since being launched into the national spotlight as the running mate of John McCain during the 2008 election cycle, former half-term Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has often been in and out of the news for all the wrong reasons. Initially viewed as big voice for what would become the right-wing Tea Party movement, Palin was quickly exposed for her lack of knowledge when it came to hot topics of the time, which has continued in the near 10 years since her national political debut.

Since then, Palin's family have also made headlines, including the controversy surrounding her daughter Bristol, who was pregnant as a teenager during the election, which contradicted with the family's conservative Christian views. However, it's Palin's 28-year-old son Track who has garnered the most negative attention, including an arrest in March 2016 on charges of domestic violence. As reported by the New York Daily News on December 17, Track is in trouble once again.

According to court documents released on Sunday, Track Palin was arrested on Saturday night in the family's hometown of Wasilla, Alaska.

The records show that Track faces a fourth-degree assault charge and a first-degree burglary charge. In addition, the younger Palin could be liable for almost $1,000 in property damage and a charge of criminal mischief, which is a misdemeanor. As of press time, neither Sarah Palin nor the family have issued a comment on the report in question, though Palin's previous explanation of her son's troubles is that he is dealing with PTSD after serving in the United States Military.

Social media reacts

In response to the news that Track Palin was arrested yet again, Twitter quickly provided instant reaction.

"Well I mean she named him Track,"one tweet read.

"How did Hillary cause this? Or was it Obama? Fox will tell us in 5...4...3..." another Twitter user wrote. "Track seems to be troubled...trump should give him a job in WH," an additional tweet stated.

"Mama Bear raised some sh*tty cubs," an additional tweet noted.

"She is teaching those "family values" still I see," one tweet went on to note. "The Wasilla Hillbillies continue their shenanigans," a Twitter user wrote. The backlash to Track Palin, Sarah Palin, and the rest of the family continued to pour in, as the drama and controversy surrounding the former governor of Alaska and Republican vice presidential candidate moved forward.
