On Sunday, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock opened fire on 22,000 people during a music festival in the entertainment capital of the USA, Las Vegas, CNN reported. At least 59 people were killed and more than 500 were injured in the shooting.

Paddock opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Police recovered 23 small weapons from his hotel room and 19 other firearms in his house in Mesquite, Nevada.

Joesph Lombardo, Clark County Sheriff, said that Paddock, a retired accountant, shot at police officers before killing himself.

Police found Paddock's suite after searching hotel rooms floor-by-floor. Lombardo said that his suite had two rooms. He also added that Paddock shot one security guard in the leg through the door. He killed himself before a SWAT team broke down the door of the room from where he was shooting.

The Federal Burea of Investigation (FBI) has reached the city and started their investigation. The gunman's brother Eric Paddock in Orlando, Florida, said that Stephen had a house in Reno, a city in Nevada.

On Monday, the authorities were searching Paddock's house in Reno.

Lombardo said that the shooting started at 10:08 p.m. (local time) on Sunday, in the Route 91 Harvest festival. Jason Aldean, a country singer, was on the stage when the gunman started the terrible shooting from his hotel room. He said that police had not had much information about the gunman before the attack.
