New Ford Mustang, the sport coupé is much better

The competition doesn't sleep. The Chevrolet Camaro is causing problems for the Ford Mustang in the US market, so, it's time to optimize the best-seller further. The new Ford Mustang was introduced in New York, Los Angeles, and at the Detroit Motor Show, along with its coupé and convertible.

Ford Mustang's Updates

The new Ford Mustang has an elegant and sporty look while maintaining its unmistakable style.

It is immediately recognizable and was refined during more than 50 years of production. The 2018 Ford Mustang also has new front fenders, new LED headlamps, a new radiator grille, and new LED taillights. It also comes along with an optional rear spoiler. The front indicators and fog lights are now available with LED technology as an option. Even the tailpipes have a new look. The exterior color includes the three color tones Orange Fury, Royal Crimson, and Kona Blue and there are new strip options for the bodywork.

V8 engine

Driving performance and fun behind the wheel are guaranteed by the updated version of the V8 5.0 engine which has 450hp.

Both the V8 5.0 and the 2.3 EcoBoost will be combined with the new 10-speed Automatic Transmission, Thanks to the adaptive gear selection system, it allows the transmission to adapt in real time to road conditions, improving the acceleration and efficiency.The manual transmissions were also improved. The 3.7-litre V6 aspirated engine was removed from the Mustang's range. However, the 2.3-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine has more torque. Finally, the V8 Engine received a new injection (assumed from the GT350). It increases the compression and thus produces more torque and more power. The maximum reactivity is also guaranteed by MagneRide adaptive suspensions which can adequately manage any changes to the road conditions in real time.

Safety

The new Ford Mustang's safety features now include a collision warning system with pedestrian detection, a lane departure warning system, a lane keeping assistant and a distance alert system. It will help the Mustang in the Euro-NCAP crash test, where the current model only achieved two stars. The infotainment includes a programmable 12-inch display and Ford SYNC Connect with FordPass. Also, there are new surface materials, new seat covers and a new center console with knee pads. The new Ford Mustang will be launched in the USA this autumn. Prices have not yet been mentioned.
