According to the Denver Channel, Adalie Rivera, 13, is from Lubbock, Texas and was on vacation with her family, staying at the Quality Inn in Colorado Springs. However, the last time Rivera was seen was on Friday morning. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation, working together with the Colorado Springs Police, is asking the public for assistance in their search for the girl. Reportedly, El Paso County Search and Rescue teams have already searched the area close to the hotel using dogs on Sunday morning, but were unable to find any trace of the teenager.

Lt. David Edmondson of the Colorado Springs Police Department said Rivera had no money on her when she left the hotel. Edmondson added that the teenager is unfamiliar with the area, as the Texas family was spending spring break in the town. He added that as far as police are aware, Rivera doesn’t know anyone in the area and the family was only on a short break, from the 14th up until Sunday. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is involved in the search and investigators have reportedly handed around flyers in the area in an attempt to find the girl.

Police in Colorado Springs asking businesses for any possible video footage

The Gazette quotes Edmondson as saying they have asked local businesses for help, as they may have had cameras pointed towards the areas in which police are working, which might have picked up footage of the Texas teenager walking in the street.

According to Edmondson, this would be helpful in their search.
