President Donald Trump and his cabinet are making news again today. This time it is for giving his daughter Ivanka a position in the White House. News last week had many people upset. It was released that Ivanka would be getting an office near the one of her father and was receiving security clearance. This had many people upset and confused with how that would ethically be allowed. Many thought that she would be able to avoid certain rules and regulations that her father is obligated to follow.

So if that was not enough to cause an uproar what happened now surely will

The president, along with his daughter, is in the news again. It was made public earlier today that the First Daughter has accepted an unpaid position in the white house. Her official title will be "assistant to the President". Let's be clear that this position should not be confused with the senior adviser. This is a title that is held by her husband, Jared Kushner. This announcement comes as a surprise to many because the President had previously stated that she would not receive any title other than "First Daughter." It is also not clear what "unpaid" means. The President had also previously said that he would be unpaid but it was confirmed later that he receives a monthly paycheck.

He has claimed that at the end of the year he will donate the money to charity.

What is the White House saying?

The staff at the White House seems very pleased with their decision. In a statement released they said, "We are pleased that Ivanka has chosen to take this step in her unprecedented role as First Daughter and in support of the President.

Ivanka's service as an unpaid employee furthers our commitment to ethics, transparency, and compliance and affords her increased opportunities to lead initiatives driving real policy benefits for the American public that would not have been available to her previously."

Trump's White House looks different from those in the past

Many of the people in the cabinet specifically chosen by the President have caused quite the stir.

Many of the people chosen to be in his cabinet are inexperienced in government positions and many have very controversial pasts. Like it or not, they are here to stay and Trump has proven time and time again that he will do as he pleases.
