After President Obama was given a special intelligence briefing on Russia's involvement with the hack of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) last week, Donald Trump was not pleased. When it was revealed that NBC News had received portions of the briefing, Trump lashed out on Twitter.
Trump Twitter tirade
Last Thursday night, NBC News aired an exclusive look inside the Russian hacking report that was given to President Obama. The report further confirmed that Russia not only hacked the DNC, but did so to harm Hillary Clinton, and help elect Donald Trump.
In response, Trump quickly vented his frustration on social media, asking, "How did NBC get 'an exclusive look into the top secret report he (Obama) was presented?'" On his offical Twitter account January 8, Trump continued his frustration.
Before I, or anyone, saw the classified and/or highly confidential hacking intelligence report, it was leaked out to @NBCNews. So serious!

"Before I, or anyone, saw the classified and/or highly confidential hacking intelligence report, it was leaked out to @NBCNews," Donald Trump fired back on Twitter, before adding, "So serious!" Trump's tweet comes just hours after presidential counsel Kellyanne Conway made the rounds on the Sunday talk shows where she continued to defend the president-elect position of casting doubt over the recent intelligence reports.

Since the election, Donald Trump has dismissed the idea that Russia hacked into the DNC in an attempt to get him elected. Last month, the CIA concluded that the Kremlin was responsible after conducting a secret investigation on the matter.
Since then, the FBI has come to the same conclusion, which has also been backed by the Department of Homeland Security and the White House.

There is currently a bipartisan movement growing in Congress that is working to further investigate what role, if any, Russia had in the hack of the DNC. Sen. John McCain and Sen.
Lindsey Graham are leading the charge on the Republican side, which is not expected to go over well with the Donald Trump administration. While all signs point to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin being the source of the initial hack, it doesn't look like Trump will be changing tune anytime soon once he is sworn into office on January 20.
