Phuket, Thailand

As just about any backpacker who has traveled through Thailand can tell you, Phuket is a must for anyone looking to travel to Southeast Asia in the coming year. Thailand's largest island features several sandy beaches, fascinating rock formations, and limestone caves. If nature isn't as much your thing, there are plenty of upscale hotels, delicious food, and pampering spas in Phuket as well, making it a great destination for a side of the traveler spectrum. Just be sure to visit during the dry season.
