In 2015, Hotel Breakers at Cedar Point was completely refurbished from the ground up. The gorgeous beachfront hotel originally opened for business all the way back in 1905. Now in 2017, it is a place where, once guests step through the doors, they will never want to leave. That is unless they are venturing right next door to the exciting Cedar Point.

Recent renovations at Hotel Breakers

The recent renovations at Hotel Breakers include a new grand entrance, an updated lobby and modernized guest rooms. The hotel has 511 rooms and suites, and each one comes with an LCD TV, free wi-fi, a refrigerator, and microwave.

The new rooms are colorful and fun, and many offer outstanding views of the lake and/or the amusement park.

Hotel Breakers was recognized as one of the Top 25 Hotels for Families in the 2016 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice™ awards. One thing about Hotel Breakers that you'll love is the beautiful beach. You can sit back and relax on the soft sand, swim in Lake Erie, or take part in some of the activities that are set up, including corn hole, ladder golf, volleyball, and more.

Hotel Breakers has an outdoor pool with a huge hot tub, and if the weather gets bad, there's an indoor pool and hot tub that guests can use. Another new feature is a play area for young children that has small slides and shallow water to splash and cool off in.

When it comes to on-site dining and drinks, there are many options at Hotel Breakers. There is a full-service Starbucks where you can grab a coffee, or if you are in the mood for a cold drink, stop in the Surf Lounge for a Strawberry Daiquiri or Pina Coloda. Both are located right inside of the breathtaking five-story rotunda, just steps from the beach.

You will also find TGI Friday’s, Perkins, and TOMO Hibachi Grill inside of the hotel.

Hotel Breakers: guest advantages

Overnight guests of Hotel Breakers get some extra perks when it comes to visiting Cedar Point. Discounted tickets are available and all guests can enter the park one hour before the general public. Early entry means a shorter waiting time for some of the most popular rides, such as Valravn, Maverick, Gatekeeper and Millennium Force.

Cedar Point really has something for everyone, with more than 150 rides, shows, and attractions. Cedar Point was voted the “Best Amusement Park in the World” for 16 consecutive years by the readers of Amusement Today and there's a good reason for it. Each season, the park seems to break records with new rides that bring people in from all over the world.
