Kim Kardashian West and husband Kanye West have often spoken out about having more children. The 36-year-old reality star has a medical problem, and two doctors have warned her of health risks if she attempted to carry another baby.

During both of her pregnancies, she suffered from placenta accreta. She has had a procedure to correct the condition, but it didn't work. However, that's not keeping them from pursuing their dream of expanding their family.

Expanding family

Kim and Kanye are already proud parents to two beautiful children, 4-year-old daughter North and 18-month-old son Saint.

According to People magazine, the Wests are hiring a surrogate to carry their third child. After they made the decision to use a surrogate, her sister Khloe Kardashian and her close friend Chrissy Teigen offered to carry a baby for Kim.

Khloe, 32, is divorced from Lamar Odom, and she has fertility problems of her own. Chrissy is a 31-year-old wife to John Legend and they are parents to a daughter, Luna Simone Stephens, who was born on April 14, 2016. Chrissy said she would be a surrogate for her friend in a heartbeat because she enjoys being pregnant.

The surrogate

According to Radar Online, Kim and Kanye have already hired a surrogate through an agency to carry their third child, and they are reportedly paying a fortune for the service.

For starters, they reportedly paid a surrogacy agency $68,850 to find the surrogate. The surrogate will be paid a total of $45,000 for 10 months, and an additional $5,000 will be paid for each additional birth.

It has been said that the couple is going to make sure the surrogate is well taken of while carrying their baby and afterward.

During the pregnancy, the woman will live in a luxury resort. The Wests are paying for everything the woman needs and wants. For example, a chef will prepare all her meals. She will have 24-hour surveillance and very tight security.

There is a list of things the woman must agree to do and not do. For example, she has to agree to have no sexual activities in the weeks just before the implanting of the embryo and have no sexual intercourse for three weeks following the implantation.

She has to refrain from using hot tubs and saunas. She cannot handle cat litter, apply dye to her hair, eat raw fish or drink more than one caffeinated beverage per day.

Kim discussed her decision with her family on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." In the coming months, there are sure to be more discussions about this issue that is dear to Kim and Kanye's heart.
