After the success of “A United Kingdom,” “Before I Fall,” “Raw,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Their Finest,” and “The Zookeeper’s Wife,” the filmmakers have started paying more attention to women-centric projects. According to The Hollywood Reporter, at least four films about women are in post-production. It means we can expect the release of “Snatched,” “Everything, Everything,” “Wonder Woman,” and “Rock That Body" this summer.

1 - ‘Snatched.'

Written by Katie Dippold, Amy Schumer, and Kim Caramele, “Snatched” is scheduled to be released on May 12. Director Johathan Levine confirmed yesterday that a new trailer would be out this weekend.

The cast includes Goldie Hawn, Joan Cusack, Christopher Meloni, Ike Barinholtz, Óscar Jaenada, and Wanda Sykes. 20th Century Fox will distribute this movie in the United States, and MovieTickets will sell the tickets through its official website. It is a story of a mother and her daughter who become a part of an adventurous trip. Fans are excited to know more about the characters of Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn in this movie.

2 - ‘Everything, Everything.'

The Hollywood Reporter claims that “Everything, Everything” will hit a theater near you this May. Stella Meghie directs the movie, and Amandla Stenberg plays the lead role. It's a story of a young and smart girl who is unable to leave her house due to an illness.

Olly (Nick Robinson) is her next-door neighbor who tries to make her feel comfortable. Stella says that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer will distribute the movie worldwide. Based on a novel by Nicola Yoon, it is a sweet and simple love story.

3 - ‘Wonder Woman’

Wonder Woman” is another anticipated movie of the season. It is set to release worldwide on June 2 and is directed by Patty Jenkins.

Early box office projections suggest that it will gross over $80 million domestically in the opening weekend. Warner Bros. and DC team up for this project. A recently released teaser trailer gives glimpses of the characters of Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Connie Nielsen. Fans have high expectations because Gal Gadot has played the lead role, and she looks incredible in the trailer.

She plays the Amazon princess, Diana, who lives on a distant island. Diana meets a pilot, Steve Trevor, and falls in love with him.

4 - ‘Rock That Body’

Director Lucia Aniello says that this film will hit the theaters in the third week of June. According to its story, five best friends plan to spend the weekend in Miami. They want to have some fun, but things turn when they accidentally kill a male stripper. Matt Tolmach Productions has joined hands with Paulilu Productions for this project. The cast includes Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz. The filmmaker claims that it is not a pre-sequel to “Girls Trip,” but an entirely different project.

We look forward to these exciting films and have high expectations.
