If you are a federal employee you may have Martin Luther King Day off, but for some people across the United States, Monday is a normal work day. Many businesses and even some banks will be open on the federal holiday, but most government offices, schools, the stock market, the U.S. post office, and public libraries will be closed on January 16.
Whether you are trying to plan your errands around what's open and what's closed on MLK Day or you are waiting for UPS or FedEx to deliver an important package, here's the latest information on holiday hours for malls, big-box retail stores, restaurants, the stock market, grocery stores, and government offices such as the post office and social security.
