"Apex Legends" gained over 25 million players in its first week, and it has been incredibly popular since its release. Respawn Entertainment has made an extremely fun game that is a serious competitior to "Fortnite Battle Royale," and it appears that it will hit the 100-million player milestone very soon. The development team is planning to bring some huge things to the popular game, and some of them could be released in March.

Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella has already announced plans for another in-game map, but it seems that this is just one small part and that the game creators are going to release a lot more content.

According to the latest leaks, there are 11 new characters (legends) that are coming to "Apex Legends." Right now, we know the names of all of these characters, but some of them had their abilities leaked as well. Let's see what's waiting for us!

Many new characters are coming to Apex Legends

At the moment, there are eight characters available in "Apex Legends." Six of them are available to everyone, while two of them, Caustic and Mirage, are locked for purchase. The leak revealed 11 new characters, which means that the total amount of legends should reach 19 at some point. However, Respawn Entertainment probably won't release all of them at the same time, so it might take even a year until we get all of them.

Here is the full list of the leaked characters:

  • Nomad
  • Octane
  • Prophet
  • Husaria
  • Jericho
  • Rampart
  • Blackout
  • Crypto
  • Rosie
  • Skunner
  • Wattson

There aren't many details about these legends, but it appears that Octane will have a stimpack-based ability, while Wattson's power will be some sort of an electric trap. It is interesting that all "Apex Legends" characters are named after their powers, so we can guess what powers some of the upcoming legends will have.

For example, Nomad will most likely have movement abilities, Prophet could have some visions or tracking, similar to Bloodhound, while Crypto could be a hacker, similar to Sombra in "Overwatch."

Release date

Respawn Entertainment hasn't revealed any information about the release date of the upcoming content. However, considering that Epic Games will release Season 8 of "Fortnite Battle Royale" on February 28, we can expect the "Apex Legends" developer to release new content in March. The battle between these two games will be tough, which is why we can expect at least one new legend to come out next month.
