“PUBG” is without a doubt prepping up for Halloween as they recently tweeted out a short clip that hints on upcoming spook-fueled skins. That said, it’s game developer also rolled out a new Test Server patch that introduced a new weapon and game mode.
Per the patch notes, the full-auto pistol – Skorpion was released alongside patch 23 adding that it will be available on all maps and even in Training Mode. The weapon uses 9mm ammo as it has a single fire and full auto fire mode. It was also stated that the pistol can hold up to 20 bullets on a standard clip and 40 on an extended one.
The notes also detailed the new weapon’s attachments:
- Stock: stock for the Micro UZI
- Lower Rail: Laser Sight, Half Grip, Light Grip, Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag
- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Sight: Red Dot Sight
War Mode: Conquest
As mentioned, a new game mode was also included within the Test Server update – War Mode: Conquest. This new game type pits two Platoons (up to 50 vs. 50) against each other as both of them will have to battle It out in capturing and holding on to certain objectives in a given area. Platoons will be earning points whenever they hold such objectives and the platoon with the most points wins the match.
PC Players: Patch #23 is now available on the Test Server.

Some Blue Zone fixes
The new Test Server update also brought in some bug fixes and quality of life improvements to the game. One of the most notable is the fix involving “PUBG’s” blue zone. The patch notes stated that the devs have already toned down its opacity and is now easier to see through.
They’ve also mitigated an issue where the zone’s opacity difference was a bit strong depending on both the game’s weather type and its map. The devs even posted before and after images of maps showing such tweaks.
The developer also fixed an issue where players are still able to use their weapons while swimming if they keep on pushing their equipped weapon near rocks. Recoil for the P18C pistol was also toned down on this patch.
