The latest updates for "Red Dead Redemption 2" reveal the special in-game contents for video game fans when they purchased the open-world western prequel title. Rockstar Games announced on Twitter the pre-order and special editions of the game, as the contents will feature bonus items and special missions for video game fans to use and explore when they start playing it. "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature players taking on the role of outlaw Arthur Morgan as he leads the Vander Linde Gang in the harsh lands of the wild west for survival after a botched bank robbery, as they are hunted down by both federal agents and bounty hunters.

Pre-order items confirmed

Rockstar Games has confirmed on their official website the pre-order contents for "Red Dead Redemption 2" after it was posted online in the Xbox storefront pre-order listing. The items in the pre-order list include the War Horse, the Outlaw Survival Kit, Cash Bonus in the game's story mode, and an exclusive treasure map.

The War Horse can be used in battle and it has greater courage and stamina compared to a normal horse in the game. The Outlaw Survival Kit will help players survive the early stages of the game.

The in-game cash bonus will help Arthur and the Vander Linde Gang stock up weapons, food, supplies, and more in the story. Lastly, the pre-order treasure map will help players get a head start on finding hidden wealth in the outskirts of the wild west. In addition, for those who have engaged in digital pre-orders of the game in the PlayStation or Xbox stores, they will have an immediate infusion of GTA$ to their Maze accounts in "GTA Online."

'RDR 2' special, ultimate, and collector's editions

Rockstar Game revealed three versions of "Red Dead Redemption 2" that players can buy when it launches on October 26 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

The Special Edition will contain the Bank Robbery and Hideout mission and the Dappled Back Thoroughbred racehorse in the story mode. The Talisman and Medallion bonuses will boost Arthur's status in the game. Players will also have the Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger outfit and additional weapons such as Volcanic Pistol, Pump Action Shotgun, and Lancaster Varmint Raffle.

The Ultimate Edition will have the items in the Special Editions along with two bonus outfits: Blackrose Bounty Hunter and Copperhead Enforcer outfits. There is also a new horse called the Black Chestnut Thoroughbred and free access to the Survivor Camp theme. The Collector's Edition will include a Metal Tithing Box, collectible challenge coin, double-sided puzzle, six-shooter bandana, a treasure map replica, playing cards, pin set, a Wheeler, Rawson and Co. catalog, and 12 cigarette cards.
