"Fortnite Battle Royale" players are currently enjoying Season 4 of the popular video game. The current season brought many amazing things to the game, and players can now explore new places on the map. The meteor changed the map's landscape and created a few craters, but there are also some secret areas the new update brought to us.

Once again, "Fortnite Battle Royale" community is making theories about these new places. They are all mysterious and Epic Games, "Fortnite" developer, hasn't given us any details on these new map additions.

Mysterious underground areas

The game developer added a mansion between Lonely Lodge and the race track with the latest update. The mansion is located on the eastern side of the island, but many players don't know that it has a secret base underneath. If you go to the mansion and break the floor, you will be able to access the base. Additionally, you may build some ramps on the edge of the island and access the secret base from the ocean side.

Another secret base can be found in the mountain by Snobby Shores. This base is huge and it has a lot of floor loot and a few chests. In addition, it also has a missile silo, which is why many players think this is a villain base. The easiest way to access this area is by landing on top of a red shack and breaking its roof to fall into the base.

Also, if you land in Snobby Shores, you can simply build up ramps to the base.

The third secret base is located in Salty Springs. To access it, you need to go to the blue house in the northwestern corner of the town, then go downstairs until you get to the base. This secret base is relatively small and it doesn't have a lot of loot, but it could play a big role in the game's lore.

What's the purpose of these bases?

The game developer hasn't revealed any info about these bases, and it seems that players will have to figure out what's going on on their own. According to some leaks, Moisty Mire will be destroyed by the end of Season 4, and a missile from the secret base might be used to destroy it.

At the moment, it is hard to figure it all out as the new map has many clues and hints.

However, it seems that Epic Games will keep updating the map more frequently, so it's just a matter of time when "Fortnite Battle Royale" community will figure out what is going on. There is no doubt that the developer has worked hard on providing some backstory for the ongoing season, and it will be interesting to finally connect the dots and reveal the whole story.
