While developers have promised that they will be removing some weapons from "Fortnite: Battle Royale," there are still so many different items to grab as you make your way way through Tomato Town and Retail Row. Here are The 5 things you should have in your inventory if you want to make it to the end.

Shotgun/revolver

This is your go-to in those close up battles. Have one of these handy in case you stumble onto someone who is scavenging the same house you are. Just keep in mind, revolvers require you to be more accurate, whereas shotguns use more of a spray approach.

Potions & more

Any time you can find a potion, med kit, or bandages, grab them. These will replenish your health and give you a shield. That means more time in the game. The holy grail of potions is the Chug Jug. This legendary potion will give you max health and shield. Just make sure you have the 15 seconds to drink it.

Assault rifles

The SCAR is probably the most popular weapon in the game. Players whoop with glee if they come across one. In reality, don't be picky. Any assault rifle will do. They are rapid firing and do a lot of damage quickly. If you have one of these, you will be an efficient killing machine.

Sniper rifles

Sniper rifles are great to have for long-range kills if you can get set up with a nice shooting position either through an existing building or through using resources to create one yourself.

Just be aware that the semi-automatic ones aren't as lethal. It normally takes 3 hits to finish a player with those. The bolt-action types take only one hit. It's perfect for taking out an unsuspecting adversary as they meander around Loot Lake, blissfully unaware of their impending doom.

Grenades/RPGs

While you might not run across grenades or RPGs as much as other items, explosives are a great thing to have as you get further along in the match.

They do good area damage and can hit multiple targets. Also, feel free to use them to destroy that nice fort that the guy you just hit is quickly building as he tries to protect himself. As the below video shows, handle with care because you can also fail in epic fashion.

A note about traps

Traps have a special spot in your inventory so you don't need to worry about them taking up one of your inventory spots.

That being said, most of the time they aren't worth it. Most players can avoid them, and if they are triggered, they usually aren't lethal. There are a couple things to keep in mind, however. The Cozy Campfire is an item that can heal you and your group. The other is a launchpad, which you can use to reposition yourself quickly. This can be particularly handy when you get down to the final showdown.

Final thoughts

With an inventory full of these items, you'll be celebrating a Victory Royale in no time.
