Game enthusiasts are in for a treat as Rockstar Games has rolled out a brand-new video trailer for its upcoming western action-adventure video game, “Red Dead Redemption 2.” The trailer showed some of the story elements of the video game. The new title will feature a new protagonist.
Game’s protagonist
The new video trailer showcased some alluring spots in the action-adventure video game. The RDR2 will now feature different types of locations, which include swampy areas as well as snowy mountains. Interestingly, the latest trailer introduces the game’s protagonist, Arthur Morgan, Daily Star reported.
The protagonist of the RDR2 is a member of the Dutch Van der Linde gang. Dutch actually made his first appearance in the original game. As most game enthusiasts would recall, John Marston is the protagonist of the prequel. Marston was a former member of Dutch’s gang and was assigned to eliminate the remaining members of the organized group of criminals, which include Dutch himself.
It will be interesting to witness what kind of character the new protagonist really is. The video game company has a history of psychotic protagonists and Morgan appears to possess the same nasty streak.
The new “Red Dead Redemption 2” trailer also teased the two new characters of the game. One is a female that resembles the multiplayer character model, Bonnie MacFarlane, from the original game.
According to GameSpot, the new female character might be an older Bonnie.
The other new character was spotted walking beside the game’s protagonist in some encampment. Based on the new character’s appearance, he appears to have a Native American background. Although there are no details about the new character, it’s likely that he is going to assist gamers through a number of objectives.
The latest trailer also showcased several gameplay elements. Just like its prequel, players of the “Red Dead Redemption 2” will still have to hunt animals, hunt down individuals, break horses, create alliances as well as rob banks and trains. One of the fascinating things in the new video trailer is that gamers won’t have to depend on guns, the trailer showcased the game’s protagonist firing an arrow at a deer.
RDR2 is pretty comprehensively reintroducing bears. The new title will now have alligators.
Release date
The action-adventure video game will be available on Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4. Rockstar Games has yet to announce the game’s exact launch date. All there is to know is that the RDR2 will be available sometime in the Spring of next year.
