The Switch continues its popularity streak as more and more third-party games enter its fold. Nintendo wants its fans to know that it has more in store for the hybrid console this year. In fact, its launch game, “The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild” is set to receive new content before the year ends. Gamers last heard news of the open-world adventure’s upcoming DLC expansion titled “The Champions Ballad” back during E3 2017. Updates regarding its development status have been slim to none over the past few months. Surprisingly, Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America President, revealed that it is on track for a 2017 release.
‘Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC’ and Amiibo details
So far, fans have speculated that Nintendo will release the second DLC along with the new Amiibo figures slated for a November 10, 2017, release. Sadly, Reggie Fils-Aime advises gamers not to expect anything else on that day. He added that they “will shortly be announcing the date for that content.” “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” continues to be a must-buy game for the Switch, and gamers always welcome more content.
Supply problems continue for Nintendo
Meanwhile, the company continues to have problems with supply, which doesn’t seem to be going away soon. Consumers still struggle to find retailers that have enough stocks of the Switch in time for the holiday shopping season.
Likewise, its recently released retro game system, the SNES Classic Edition, has also experienced insufficient shipments from its manufacturers. It seems that consumers might permanently associate the brand with negative experiences.
Their plans to release the new Amiibo figures ahead of the game’s second DLC expansion might be one of their temporary solutions to address their supply issues.
Since last year, the company has poorly handled its product availability, which left a lot of fans empty-handed over the holidays. If their intended idea proceeds smoothly, gamers would have enough time to grab the new figures before the expansion gets released.
On the other hand, Nintendo’s confirmation that the second DLC for “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is on the schedule will surely please their fans.
A lot of gamers have already scoured everything the adventure game and its first DLC has to offer and apparently want even more. After all, Reggie Fils-Aime promised an official announcement regarding “The Champions’ Ballad” release date soon.
