The latest updates for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" revealed that Capcom will launch three new DLC costume packs for 18 playable characters in the roster. The costumes packs are "Avenging Army, "World Warriors," and "Mystic Masters," and players can purchase them online on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and Steam.

Each DLC pack is worth $11.99 USD, but players can buy individual character costumes for $3.99 USD, or get all three DLC packs at once for of $29.99 USD.

New costumes

The DLC costume packs for "Infinity" will feature classic Marvel character costumes and unused Capcom concept arts.

The "Avenging Army" pack will feature the Ultimate versions of Thor and Hawkeye, the Superior Iron Man armor, Dante's "DmC: Devil May Cry" look, and new concept art outfits for Arthur and Nathan Spencer.

The "World Warriors" pack will have a gladiator inspired Captain America, Captain Marvel's Warbird costume, Hulk's Joe Fixit persona, a shirtless Ryu, and casual outfits for Chun-Li and Chris Redfield.

Finally, the "Mystic Masters" pack will feature Doctor Stephen Strange's Marvel Now costume, Ghost Rider's western outfit, new demonic forms of Dormammu and Firebrand, and casual outfits for Morrigan and Nemesis.

A premium costume for Spider-Man can be unlocked for free when players buy the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" Blu-ray DVD set on the PSN or Xbox Live.

What's next for 'Infinite'?

Capcom announced that Sigma, Monster Hunter, and Balck Panther will be available in "MvC: Infinite's" roster on Oct. 17. All three characters were first seen as non-playable characters in the sequel's story mode as the Japanese video game publisher revealed Monster Hunter at the Tokyo Game Show event, while Black Panther and Sigma made their in-game debuts at New York Comic-Con.

The second batch of DLC characters consists of Venom, Winter Soldier, and Black Widow after an unnamed Reddit user posted concept art photos of the three fighters online. Both Winter Soldier and Black Widow's outfits are inspired by their movie counterparts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while Venom will retain his classic appearance from the comics.

While comic book fans are excited to see these characters on the roster, there are others who are still disappointed at Capcom for not adding X-Men and Fantastic Four characters in the sequel. The absence of fan-favorite characters like Wolverine, Magneto, Doctor Doom, and Storm left a huge blow to the game's sales and reviews.
