The grandest stage was set for mankind during the years of 1939 to 1945. Known to the world as the greatest generation, they faced the hardest trials, braved the greatest of tyrants and ultimately gave the greatest sacrifice in the noblest of forms.
This very picture of bravery and courage is what "Call of Duty: WWII" aims to capture and preserve in its newest "Brotherhood of Heroes" Documentary. Video game developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision released a brand new video commemorating the events that inspired the highly-acclaimed video game franchise the video will also showcase locations that will be featured for all the devoted fans to see.
The team behind "Call of Duty: WWII" enlisted real-life historian Martin K.A. Morgan to help provide in-depth details about the Second World War and about those who were involved in this massive conflict. They also visited multiple real-life locations to ensure that they get a good feel of what it was like to be in the real-world setting of WWII, the game attempts to replicate and recreate these glorious moments in history. "Call of Duty: WWII" will allow fans to take part and play the roles of the soldiers who fought so valiantly in this large-scale battle for the greater good where so many have fought and died.
The video below shows how Sledgehammer Games and Activision pay homage to the brave men and women and look to immortalize their sacrifice, struggle and victory.
Documenting history
As the years pass the number of people left who can recount and provide first-hand details of their experience diminish. Eventually, sad but true, the numbers of those who were involved and took participation in this historical affair will wane and recede. As the video above shows, the task is up for the next generation to preserve and maintain the memories of an event that arguably helped shape the world as we know it.
Much inspiration can be found in the stories from those who fought and survived the war, rarely does a video game convey and capture such emotion and spirit as seen and is to be expected from "Call of Duty: WWII." Sledgehammer Games and Activision created an epic video game and also made a successful endeavor in documenting history.
An authentic experience
"Call of Duty: WWII" proved to be a breakthrough in the franchise, not only does the game go back to its roots in a "boots on the ground" fashion, it also promises an authentic gaming experience as the game developers work hard to balance the game and the era on which it was based.
The game received so much hype and is packed with features such as epic campaigns having players dress up as Nazi soldiers, a new social space called Headquarters and a menacing Zombies mode.
"Cod: WWII" will start selling on November 3, 2017. The game will be made available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
