"Minecraft" is a three-dimensional sandbox game developed and published by Mojang. "Minecraft" encourages players to experiment, explore and build almost anything out of textured cubes, the game has been praised for its creative and building aspects and has since then gained a large fan base. The game has been run on multiple video game platforms including the Xbox gaming consoles.
During the Xbox Gamescom press conference in Cologne, Germany, Microsoft unveiled the Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S Bundle. The game console had a fine pixelated paint job reminiscent of the game's 8-bit theme, just enough to get any "Minecraft" fan to go "shut up and take my money" over this fine piece of hardware.
The breakdown
The console is covered with the iconic grass block in the front and a transparent Redstone-laced back cover. So far this would be the first Xbox One S to feature a see-through cover. This makes for a one of a kind limited edition piece, and limited-edition merchandise sells out fast, so fans need to quick to make sure they get a hold this console before it's too late. Apart from the video game console, Microsoft also launches a matching console that comes in green creeper theme. It has green thumbsticks, green D-pads, and green buttons, it also features a pixelated TNT at the back of the controller.
According to Microsoft's press release statement, the bundle's official inclusions are "...a custom-designed grass block console, Xbox Wireless Controller – Minecraft Creeper, Minecraft system sounds, vertical stand and transparent underside with Redstone circuit accents.
This exclusive bundle also includes a full game download of Minecraft plus the Redstone Pack, a collection of unique skin packs.”
This bundled package will make fans question their loyalty to the "Minecraft" brand as the console bundle is priced at $399.00, the controller could also be purchased separately for $74.00. The Xbox One S Minecraft Limited Edition Bundle is not cheap, being a limited-edition item, and it sells higher than the Xbox One S Shadow of War which is priced at $349.00.
The pink pig
In addition to the green creeper controller, Microsoft launches a limited edition pink pig game pad. Like the green creeper controller, it comes with textured grips and Bluetooth technology for gaming on Windows 10 PCs and tablets. Both controllers feature responsive thumbsticks and impulse triggers, it also has twice the wireless range.
