Sony hasn’t yet officially announced the PlayStation Plus September 2017 free games list, but this hasn’t stopped gamers from speculating which possible games could make it to next month’s game list. Notably, PS Plus subscribers are offered a few PS4, PS3 and Vita games for free each month. It is expected that the tech giant could offer a strong September line-up.

Big and popular games might make it to next month's list

Notably, Sony has already announced that the subscription price for PlayStation Plus will soon be increased in Europe and a few other countries.

The annual PlayStation Plus subscription cost will increase from £39.99 ($51) to £49.99 ($64). The quarterly subscription cost will go up from £14.99 ($19) to £19.99 ($26), while the monthly subscription cost will increase from £5.99 ($7.5) to £6.99 ($9). The price hike will come into effect starting August 31.

In order to encourage users to stick to the PlayStation Plus service, it is expected that Sony might include some big and popular gaming titles to the free games list for next month to offer users real value for their money. During the last two months, gamers were offered some popular games. For instance, “Life is Strange” and “Killing Floor 2,” were offered as part of July’s PS Plus line-up, while in August, “Just Cause 3” and “Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry” were offered to gamers for free.

“Super Motherload,” “Snakeball,” “Downwell” and “Level 22” were among the other games that were offered as part of the August line up.

Possible games to be included

According to PlayStation Universe, the PlayStation Plus September 2017 free games list might include “Ratchet & Clank,” “Steep,” “Terraria,” “The Talos Principle” and “Firewatch.” The 2016 remake of the original third person shooter game series “Ratchet & Clank” was praised by critics as well as gamers for its remarkable design, addictive firefights, and brilliant weapons.

Ubisoft’s “Steep” could also turn out to be a good bet for September. The extreme sports-based video game was released worldwide on December 2, 2016. The game is set in an open world environment of the Alps and Denali (Mount McKinley) where gamers compete with other players in various winter sporting challenges.

Next on the list is 505 Games’ Minecraft-inspired game “Terrarria.” The game has sold around more than 20 million copies since its release.

“Terrarria” has already been made free on PlayStation Plus for Vita since 2014. Developed by Croatian developer, Croteam, “The Talos Principle” is a philosophical puzzle video game. “Firewatch” is another mystery adventure game which could be offered in September.
