With the success of PlayStation 4, fans are looking forward to a bunch of games as Sony promises to release several slimmed down versions this month. Some of its games are already available for Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus users. The list includes Final Fantasy Xii: The Zodiac Age, Fortnite, Splatoon 2, Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles, and Pyre.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is set to release on July 11, 2017. This role-playing video game is created and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 2 home video console.
The first version was released in 2006, the twelfth title in the Final Fantasy series. The video game introduces an open world split into zones, and a seamless battle system. Moogles and Chocobo are the two main characters of Final Fantasy XII.
Fortnite
Fortnite is an upcoming survival video game, developed and published by People Can Fly. This game would be available online from July 25, 2017. Fortnite features scavenging items, fortified structures, colorful monsters, and crafting weapons. Due to its unique gameplay, Tim Sweeney from Epic Games describes Fortnite as "Minecraft meets Left 4 Dead."
Splatoon 2
Splatoon 2 is set to release on July 21, 2017. This third-person shooter game has been developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.
It is a sequel to the 2015 game, Splatoon. Splatoon 2 was first announced in February 2017 as a set of Squid Sisters Stories. Like its predecessors, this multiplayer game would feature Inkling as the main character. Inkling can alternate between humanoid form, during which he can fire ink with his weapon. A manga series based on the game would be published in December 2017.
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is an open-world adventure game set across a multi-colored, vibrant island. It will be released on Steam and PS4 on July 18, 2017. The story is set on Gemea island, which is a lush frontier with distinct environments ranging from tropical beaches to snow-capped mountains.
The best part of the game is that each location has its fauna and flora, along with a day-night cycle.
Pyre
Pyre is an upcoming role-playing video game created and published by Supergiant Games, to be released on July 25, 2017. The game will be available for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 users. The story is set in a high fantasy world where the player controls multiple characters at the same time. You would head a hyperlink-type system to explore the story further. Pyre was demonstrated in playable form at the 2016 Penny Arcade Expo.
