Game enthusiasts have long been waiting for the upcoming western action-adventure game, “Red Dead Redemption 2.” The video game has been down on Rockstar Games' development stage for quite some time. However, Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, claimed that the RDR2 would not be as successful as “Grand Theft Auto 5.”

Expectation of Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick

Although the “GTA 5” is almost five years old, the player base is aware that the action-adventure video game is still going strong. The game’s multiplayer mode, Grand Theft Auto Online, has the same portion of success with a very large amount of updates that are rolling in for the video game.

Such milestones of the game might have made Take Two CEO conclude that the western action-adventure game will not have “GTA 5’s” level of success.

Segment Next reported that during the interview of the Take Two CEO with Game Industry, the CEO expected the RDR2 would not be getting the success of “Grand Theft Auto 5.” Zelnick further explained that one of the reasons why GTA’s fifth installment has a success story is that the game stands alone in the generation.

Nonetheless, game enthusiasts have been annoyed about the release date of “Red Dead Redemption 2” that will be delayed to early 2018, instead of the expected fall 2017 roll out. Several game fans and experts believe that the video game company is still making some finishing touches to RDR2.

On the other hand, according to Game Rant, the studio might be adding cross-play features into the game.

Meanwhile, GameSpot reported that Rockstar Games launched a new mode and vehicle to “Grand Theft Auto 5.” The new Adversary mode is dubbed as the Power Mad. This mode focuses on teams of two to four gamers making an effort to secure the Juggernaut suit.

The team who keeps their juggernaut alive long enough will gather some points, however, if the juggernaut dies, both teams will have to clash again to secure it. When playing the new mode, players will be granted double RP and GTA$ from now until the end of July.
