Following its initial leak, Activision has officially announced Absolution map pack for "Call of Duty: infinite warfare". The third map pack will be first released on PS4 this week and a month after on Xbox One and Windows PC.

The publisher has detailed the four multiplayer maps and the Zombies mode that are packed in Absolution DLC coming to “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” this week. Just like the previous DLC map packs, the third map pack will bring in a brand new Zombies mode adventure that will see the return of actress Cassandra Peterson to play the role of horror movie icon, Elvira.

COD goes radioactive

Called Attack of the Radioactive Thing, the new Zombies co-op mode is set in a beach town during the 1950s when a failed government science experiment turned residents into flesh-eating zombies. This latest chapter will once again see Willard Wyler, the movie director villain played by "Gotham" actor Paul Reubens.

Elvira will save the protagonists with her own unique style and give players some gameplay tips and side quests. The cast members will take on the new roles of The Scientist, The Rebel, The Soldier, and The School Girl. All four of them clad in classic 50s style will be fighting off the new horde of undead in Attack of the Radioactive Thing!

Modern Warfare 3 map makes a return

Meanwhile, “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" DLC 3 will introduce players to four maps: Bermuda, Permafrost, Fore, and Ember. Bermuda is a shantytown that is built around shipwrecks and lets players to duck, dive, and wall ride from fish markets to lighthouses.

The Permafrost is a frozen city skyline that allows players stay on the ground and choose their attack strategy in one of three main lanes.

Fore, on the other hand, is a huge golf course that offers great visual variety and finally is Ember, a remake of "Modern Warfare 3" classic map, Resistance.

Absolution map pack is part of the game's season pass but players can also opt to purchase it separately at a price of $14.99. Activision has confirmed that the game's third DLC will first arrive on PlayStation 4 on July 6.

Those on Xbox One and PC platforms can expect "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Absolution map pack 30 days after. This has been the case of the game's DLC releases in respect to a timed exclusivity deal between Activision and Sony. So, non-PS4 users can expect the third pack around the first week of August.

In the meantime, fans can check out the in-game freebies in store for them this summer in the official trailer of "Call of Duty" Days of Summer below.
