One of the most highly-anticipated video game from PlayStation 4, “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy”, recently revealed a new gameplay footage. Naughty Dogs also released some stunning 4k screenshots.
Ancient artifact
The latest sequel of the upcoming game released a 14-minute long gameplay, with the video focused more on the Western region of the game. The gameplay description said that Chloe and Nadine, main protagonist characters, will discover the untold story of an ancient artifact.
The franchise also revealed some magnificent “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy” 4K screenshots that were captured from PlayStation 4 Pro.
Those screenshots proved that the developer team has made an enormous effort in creating best visual enhancements and bright environment. The gameplay also showed to players that the game’s journey in the south-western part of the Indian Peninsula will be more challenging than they expected it to be.
The PlayStation exclusive franchise, “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy”, is set to enter the market on August 22.
What is 'Uncharted' all about?
The popular “Uncharted” is a third-person shooter video game series that has an action-adventure plot. It was created by Naughty Dog and then published by Sony for its PlayStation console. The game’s series started with Nathan, a treasure hunter who has traveled around the world to discover various ancient mysteries.
The first sequel was entitled “Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune” and it was released on the PlayStation 3 in 2007. It was followed by “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" in 2009 and “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception” in 2011. While the final installment “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” released in 2016 for Sony’s PlayStation 4, a prequel, “Uncharted: Golden Abyss” that was also released in 2011 for PlayStation Vita.
All of the four main series has been widely praised by video games publications, reviewers, and critics. The second series installment, “Among Thieves”, was considered one of the greatest video games of all time.
Critics have mostly given a positive feedback. They pointed out the game’s high production value, quality, plot, character design, animations, voice talent, technical innovation, music score, game mechanics, and gameplay. Reviewers too have loved the game series and suggested that Hollywood should make an action adventure film-- something similar to the Indiana Jones movie franchise.
