At the recently held Nintendo Spotlight event during the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event, Nintendo officially unveiled brand new trailers for two of the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) expansions for "The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Along with the trailers that were showcased, Nintendo also revealed some brand new information regarding the two DLCs, which includes their official release dates.

More challenges

The first DLC, called "Master Trials," was already announced by Nintendo a few months ago along with revealing that the game was indeed going to have a Season Pass.

The DLC itself has been revealed to be coming out at the end of the month, on June 30. Players will be able to get access to several new features and items that should translate to hours of challenging gameplay.

Test your mettle

A new challenge mode, called "Trial of the Sword," will be putting players inside room-based combat challenges. Some rooms will completely strip players of their gear and they must find a way to use the items around them to defeat a set number of enemies. Some rooms also equip players with special items, which they must then use to complete the stage's specific challenge.

Along with the new mode, players will also be getting a new "Hero's Path" mode, which will track where they have traveled on a certain map.

A new difficulty setting, called the "Master Mode," will also be included with the DLC. As for the new items, Players will be able to access a new Korok mask and brand new armors inspired by different characters within the franchise.

A new adventure

Unlike the first DLC, the next expansion called "Champions' Ballad" has been revealed to feature a brand new all-original story and not just some additional modes.

The trailer reveals that players will be embarking on a new adventure with the DLC's four champions, named Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa. Through the new adventure, players will be able to explore brand new dungeons complete with new enemies to battle. Unfortunately, Nintendo didn't reveal a lot of details regarding the second DLC and only confirmed that it will be coming out sometime during the Holidays this year.

The "Master Trials" and "Champions' Ballad" DLCs will both be available to those who will purchase the $19.99 Expansion Pass. Nintendo has not yet verified if the DLCs can be purchased separately or how much they will cost if bought individually.
