Microsoft has certainly established itself as a formidable player in the video game market with its latest flagship console. The company has continued to label the Xbox One X as “the most powerful console ever built. Surprisingly, industry insiders have recently confirmed that the Redmond-based firm will apparently not earn any profit from the new console’s sales. It seems that the new game system’s high price will just allow them to break even, which means they are going to be solely dependent on game sales to support the platform. “Titanfall 2” appears to be one of those games that have generated hype about the One X’s hardware capabilities.

“Titanfall 2” on 6K graphics

The company’s decision to relinquish profits in lieu of delivering top-notch graphics and performance is being considered by gamers as evidence of the Xbox One X’s quality and potential. Market analysts have also noted that Microsoft is banking on the new game system to hopefully dethrone Sony and halt Nintendo’s assault on the console market. Fans are currently talking about the untapped capabilities on the new platform especially on graphics. Speculations have started to spread that Respawn Entertainment’s “Titanfall 2” will showcase visual improvements that take the game’s graphics up to a 6K resolution. Xbox Boss Phil Spencer also appears to have confirmed the rumors via Twitter, although in an ambiguous way, according to reports.

“Titanfall 2” latest DLC updates and content

Respawn Entertainment continues to provide post-launch support for its futuristic FPS. The upcoming update is expected to go live this week on June 27, 2017. It will evidently be called “The War Games” and will add a new element that will change the gameplay mechanics. According to the developer, players will soon get a third weapon slot.

This will allow pilots to equip an anti-titan weapon during PVP matches, which no longer limits the player to swap out their pistols for items that can take down enemy titans. Also included in the new DLC are two multiplayer maps called War Games and Traffic. The former allows players to duke it out in a simulated battle zone featuring an urban setting that allows titan combat, while the second map limits gamers to use pilots only.

Obviously, all these new content is expected to look amazing running at 6K resolution on the Xbox One X if the rumors are proven to be true.

Xbox One X post-E3 2017

Titanfall 2” fans also pointed out that the tweet from Microsoft’s Phil Spencer does not necessarily confirm a 6K resolution output. However, if it does, the Xbox One X will clearly have an edge over the PlayStation 4 Pro in terms of graphical output. Ever since its official reveal during the company’s E3 2017 press conference, there has been a multitude of rumors surrounding the new console. The new gaming platform is scheduled to officially launch on Nov. 7, 2017.
