Good news for all the video game lovers: the E3 2017, the 23rd Electronic Entertainment Expo, is going to be held from June 13 to 15 at the Convention Center in Los Angeles. This year, for the first time, the fair will be open to the general public. Much of the conference is highly expected to be centered on virtual reality and the PlayStation VR. Other than that, probably no big surprises.

So, let us take a stock of what we can expect this year.

At Microsoft

Microsoft opens the conference call on Sunday, June 11th. After launching its Xbox One S last year, the Redmond firm is preparing to present its Scorpio project: not really a new console, but an upgraded and much more powerful version of the Xbox One. All that we know for now is that this one will be able to play games natively in 4K. The ambition is simple: "To propose the most powerful console that ever existed ".

We can expect to hear about multiplatform games, such as "FIFA", "Call of Duty" or "Red Dead Redemption 2." The question here is whether Microsoft's able to offer exclusive play experiences.

The cancellation of "Scalebound" developed by Platinium, a little earlier this year has disappointed. We will probably hear about "Sea of Thieves". For the rest, we hope for good surprises.

At Sony

The Sony conference, live from Los Angeles, will take place on June 13. Do not expect large hardware ads from Sony. The Japanese manufacturer has already released its PS4 Slim, the PS4 Pro, a 4K declination of the console lounge and a virtual reality headset, the PlayStation VR. Sony does not have much to prove this year. Coming to the gaming front, expect to hear more from "The Last of Us 2", "Days Gone" and the reboot of "God Of War" which has already presented last year. We are particularly eager to discover "Spider-Man", developed by Insomniac, the studio behind "Ratchet & Clank".

At Nintendo

As it has been used since 2012, the Japanese manufacturer has not foreseen a live press conference in Los Angeles. This time, fans will have the right to a Nintendo Spotlight, a video pre-recorded and will be put online on Tuesday, June 13. Whatever the format is, Nintendo has promised heavy. Everything is going well this year for Nintendo.

The Japanese manufacturer has succeeded in making its hybrid console, the Switch, a success. In its invitation, Nintendo promises to present Switch games that have already unveiled. We imagine that the new "Mario", "Super Mario Odyssey", scheduled for the end of the year should be honored. The first images of the game unveiled at the beginning of the year give hope for something pompous.
