The highly anticipated 'In the Name of the Tsar' DLC of “Battlefield 1” is rolling out in September. However, prior to its official release, the Lupkow Pass map, in the upcoming expansion will be available to players a month earlier than the downloadable content.
The Lupkow Pass map
It is interesting to note that DICE has been very aggressive in rolling out new content or updates every month for the game. This comes in the form of maps or constant game patches. In August, players who are Premium Pass holders will get the chance to enjoy the Lupkow Pass map.
This is a part of the 'In the Name of the Tsar' DLC that will officially release in September.
The Lupkow Pass map offers snow-covered gorges where players will stage a war in vertical fights. The DLC will also introduce other maps such as Albion, Brusilov Keep, and Galicia. Aside from the map, several weapons will also be made available along with the Lupkow Pass’ release. Among them includes Federov Avtomat rifle, Double Barrel Shotgun, MG14 Parabellum, Mosin Nagant M91 rifle, Nagant Revolver and the C93 Carbine Suppressed.
Premium Friends
Apart from the upcoming release of one of the maps contained in the next expansion, the player base will also several receive changes. Right now, DICE is continuously implementing new ways to desegment the player base through Premium Friends.
From today until the Gamescon, standard players will have the chance to team up with a Premium player. This will allow them to experience any of the maps included in the DLC like the Prise de Tahure and the Nivelle Nights. This is possible as the developer made Premium Friends active until August 22. If the Lupkow Pass map will be available in the early part of August, standard players can also have the opportunity to experience it.
Premium trials
Aside from the Premium Friends, DICE will also roll out the Premium Trials in “Battlefield 1.” This will be the developer’s way of keeping the gaming community together. This will begin in July. With the Premium trials, every player will be given the chance to queue up for the maps that were previously released.
There is no need to wait for the Premium Pass holders for a standard player to be able to experience the DLC maps previously released for pass holders. The sad thing about this is that the upcoming Lupkow Pass map is not included as part of the Premium Trials.
We will give you more updates about “Battlefield 1” as soon as information becomes available. Meanwhile, you can check out the gameplay of one of the maps that will be available this August.
