It's perfect with just some soy milk and Stevia, but there are endless ways to up your iced coffee game. Everyone takes their coffee their own way, so don't be afraid to adjust these suggestions based on your personal taste. The goal here is to make this classic beverage the best it can be.

Flavored syrup

Adding a flavored syrup can take your coffee flavor to the next level. There's a good chance you already have some type of chocolate or caramel syrup in your house from making ice cream sundaes. You can simply mix one of those, or both, into your iced coffee. Peanut butter syrup or powder could also give your beverage a pretty unique flavor. Just be sure to mix everything thoroughly.

Different kinds of milk

As simple as this may seem, just changing the type of milk you use can change the overall taste of your iced coffee. If you typically use dairy milk or soy milk, try using a nut milk to add a different flavor. Some good choices are almond milk, cashew milk, and coconut milk. To make this even more special, try using a flavored milk, like double chocolate almond milk.

Flavored cream

Like milk, a cream is another great option to add to your basic black coffee. There are endless possibilities when it comes to flavored cream. You can add peppermint mocha, pumpkin spice, vanilla, hazelnut, or pretty much anything you could ever want in your coffee. Depending on the time of year, you'll most likely be able to find new flavors to sample.

Different roast

If you're used to getting the same roast all the time, try a different one to see how it can elevate the taste. If you're used to drinking blonde roast, going to a medium or dark can give you a stronger, more bitter flavor. If you're used to the dark variety, trying going lighter to get a sweeter coffee.

Fun shaped ice cubes

Maybe you're completely set in your ways and believe your iced coffee is the best iced coffee. Want to up the aesthetics for that Instagram post? Try adding fun shaped ice cubes. It won't change the taste of your coffee, rather the overall appearance. You can find silicone ice cube trays from your favorite home and craft stores. Just pick whatever shape speaks to your soul.
