After only 48 hours since they began their Kickstarter Campaign, the future of new Start-up company Blake’s Nut-Free Seed-Based snack Bars is looking very bright. When the initial goal of $15,000 US was reached in only two days, the campaign then added a Stretch Goal of $50,000.
Help choose the next flavor
With the new goal comes a new position, Honorary Chief Flavor Officer (HCFO). The new position will be filled by a randomly chosen backer who will then be able to help develop new products.
Blake’s Nut-Free is a snack brand developed by Blake Sorensen and Alex Marijan, both Indiana MBA students.
Inspired by Blake’s extreme nut allergy, they know the value of certified nut-free snacks which are both tasty and easy to take with you when you are on-the-go.

The new Snack Bars are an innovative concept offering a certified nut-free, gluten-free, snacking experience. After a year spent perfecting the recipe and rigorous testing, the sample testers declared the results delicious.
Food you can recognize
The bars boast real ingredients you can actually pronounce like Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Dates, Egg Whites, Chicory Root Fiber, Honey, Strawberries, Cranberries, Lemons, Avocado Oil, and Natural Flavor.
These bars will be initially available in three flavors, Lemon Berry, Dark Chocolate Banana, and Apple Ginger. Should you be the lucky backer chosen as HCFO you may be able to taste samples from the factory and perhaps even influence the development of new flavors, like Strawberry Vanilla.
Millions of people in the United States suffer from nut allergies, which confirms the importance of snacks like these.
While deaths from nut allergies are very rare, the effects of consuming nuts for those with an allergy can be far from pleasant. Symptoms can range anywhere from mild skin irritation to extreme gastrointestinal distress.
In addition to being 100% nut-free, the bars will have ten grams of protein and contain no more than eight grams of sugar.
Each of the initial three flavors is only 160 calories making them ideal for those looking to control their caloric intake consumed in snacking. That the bars are also 100% gluten-free will be especially valuable to those with Celiac Disease, Gluten Intolerance, Wheat Allergies or general gluten sensitivity.

If you’ve always aspired to be a CFO, (and who wouldn't want to be the Honorary Chief Flavor Officer?), this is your chance to shine. Don't forget to vote Strawberry Vanilla!
