A little less than a month ago (July 15), an article was published detailing players that will begin the season suspended.
That list has expanded since then as news has come out on more suspensions for players who are known by most football fans.
Here are seven more players that will now start the 2019 season unable to play due to suspension. Listed are how many games they will be suspended for, and also a brief blurb as to why they are suspended. The entire list of player suspensions can be found at Spotrac.
Jarran Reed (DT), Seahawks - Six games
Reed will miss the first six games for Seattle for a violation of the personal conduct policy from an incident in 2017 when he allegedly assaulted a female (charges were dropped). He had a breakout season in 2018 finishing with 10.5 sacks.
Antonio Callaway (WR), Browns - Four games
A rookie last season, Callaway will be suspended four games to start the year for violating the league’s policy and program on substances of abuse. He started 11 games for Cleveland in 2018 and caught 43 balls for 586 yards and five touchdowns.

Nevin Lawson (CB), Raiders - Four games
Testing positive for Ostarine has caused Lawson to be suspended the first four games. Signed by the Raiders this offseason, he has never intercepted a pass despite starting 54 games while with the Lions.
Taylor Lewan (OT), Titans - Four games
Just like Lawson, Lewan tested positive for Ostarine and also has received a four-game suspension. The left tackle has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons.
Golden Tate (WR), Giants - Four games
A fertility drug that is banned by the NFL will have Tate sitting out the Giants first four games. He caught 74 passes with the Lions and Eagles in 2018, and he finished with over 1,000 receiving yards in 2014, 2016, and 2017.
Robert Quinn (DE), Cowboys - Two games
Quinn has been suspended two games for a violation of the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances. The two-time Pro Bowler has 69 career sacks including 6.5 with the Dolphins in 2018.
