A little less than a month ago (July 15), an article was published detailing players that will begin the season suspended.
That list has expanded since then as news has come out on more suspensions for players who are known by most football fans.
Here are seven more players that will now start the 2019 season unable to play due to suspension. Listed are how many games they will be suspended for, and also a brief blurb as to why they are suspended. The entire list of player suspensions can be found at Spotrac.
Jarran Reed (DT), Seahawks - Six games
Reed will miss the first six games for Seattle for a violation of the personal conduct policy from an incident in 2017 when he allegedly assaulted a female (charges were dropped). He had a breakout season in 2018 finishing with 10.5 sacks.
Antonio Callaway (WR), Browns - Four games
A rookie last season, Callaway will be suspended four games to start the year for violating the league’s policy and program on substances of abuse. He started 11 games for Cleveland in 2018 and caught 43 balls for 586 yards and five touchdowns.
