The Nebraska baseball team was on the cusp of beating Oklahoma State on Saturday night and going 2-0 in the regional. A bullpen meltdown lost that game. Then Sunday's debacle of a 16-1 loss followed close behind.
UCONN likes beating up on NU
Sunday's 16-1 loss was the worst loss in a regional for a Nebraska baseball team in exactly 40 years. UCONN has beaten NU 30-1 in those two games. That's something else.
Nebraska's worst loss in an NCAA regional since losing to UConn 15-0 in 1979. #Huskers https://t.co/roPSQe9APP

Bullpen implodes one final time
No, the Huskers were not likely to come back in this game, but the bullpen allowed 12 hits, 12 runs and walked seven in 4.2 innings. The Pen has been an achilles heel for a lot of the season but it totally imploded on Sunday.
