He's a team player
Rashad Fenton was named the South Carolina Gamecocks' 2018 unselfish teammate award winner. That has to be a good thing for a Kansas City Chiefs team that has had some strife recently.

He's versatile
Primarily a cover corner, Fenton has also played safety over the course of his career. That versatility should help him make the Chiefs roster.
According to South Carolina's website, Rashad Fenton was generally considered USC's top cover corner and he was also used at nickel and safety in his senior season.

Chiefs filled a big need late in the draft
Kansas City has been filling its roster wisely through this draft. There's little doubt they needed a corner and now they have one.
He wasn't highly touted out of high school
While Rashad Fenton ended up as pone of the best corners in the college game, he wasn't thought that highly in high school. 247Sports had him as just a 3-star prospect and the 86th best corner back in his class.
Interceptions not always a part of his game
Fenton might be considered a good cover corner but he's not exactly a ball hawk. His three picks last year were a career high for a season. He had five over the course of his career.
