The cast is still meeting each other for the first time
You would think a show that's been around for what seems like forever, that everyone would know each other. However, with characters spread among four communities, it has led to some cast members not meeting until now.
Scott Wilson’s legacy lives on
Scott Wilson was incredible as Hershel. He passed away in October. He was last seen in season 9 episode 5 for a short cameo appearance. The cast said he is still missed and will always be TWD family.
The cast is learning American Sign Language
Several cast members of TWD are learning ASL in support of fellow cast member Lauren Ridloff, who is completely deaf. There have been moments when cast members accidentally messed up signs.
Daryl won’t be giving big speeches
Now that Rick is gone, Daryl has become the top billed actor of the show, but he has no intention of being like Rick and delivering those inspiring speeches that Rick became known for.
Season 9 is 'ride or die'
Season 9 was described as an aggressive western. The cast said that things are not going to get any better any time soon.
