The NBA trade deadline came and went, but definitely delivered some exciting moves such as the trading by the New York Knicks. There were over 20 NBA trades, and a few of them have shifted the future of the NBA, while some were more about the salary cap. The expected trade did not happen.

Anthony Davis is still a Pelican

In a surprise move, Anthony Davis is still a New Orleans Pelican. The Los Angeles Lakers were hoping to have Anthony Davis team up with LeBron James. The Lakers even offered up Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and several first-round picks. Pelicans heard the Lakers but never really showed serious interest.

The East playoffs are going to be insane

The Sixers ended up trading for Tobias Harris from the Clippers. The Sixers now have claim to the second-best starting five in the league. The team still needs to add depth, but the Sixers still got stronger. This led to Milwaukee trading for Nikola Mirotic and the Raptors added Marc Gasol.
