On Tuesday, January 29, WWE continued their presence in the Phoenix, Arizona area after the Royal Rumble. Many of the biggest WWE superstars were on hand for the SmackDown Live episode at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Here's a look at five of the biggest stories or highlights from the January 29 episode of WWE SmackDown Live.
'The New' Daniel Bryan debuts new WWE Championship belt
It's a new era for the WWE Championship as current champ Daniel Bryan continues to try to bring change. He made a major change to the title belt. It's now made out of wood, hemp, and heart stone. That's definitely a direction fans didn't see coming!
Bryan to defend belt in Elimination Chamber
Another development that arrived as of Tuesday was a big match for Bryan's WWE Championship. It will go down at the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber PPV in February. Bryan is slated to defend inside the Chamber against Mustafa Ali, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and Samoa Joe.

R-Truth wins the United States Championship
Truth has held a number of titles during his career in WWE. That has included the WWE Tag Team Championship once and WWE Hardcore Championship twice. He's also captured the United States title and on Tuesday he surprisingly captured it from Shinsuke Nakamura for a second reign.

Charlotte Flair makes her intentions clear
A confrontation between Royal Rumble winner "The Man" Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair erupted on SmackDown Live. Becky announced on Raw she wants to take on Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania. However, Charlotte decided to remind Becky she is "The Queen" of the division and that she thinks she taught Becky plenty of what she uses in the ring today.

Almas takes out aggression on Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio is one of the top superstars of all time within the ranks of WWE and elsewhere. However, Andrade Cien Almas is looking to take over. He made that clear on SmackDown Live by hurting Mysterio's soul in the ring.
