5 stars of Michigan Wolverines win over Indiana Hoosiers

The Wolverines kept marching toward the Big Ten title game with a win on November 17 against Indiana.

The Michigan Wolverines continued their winning streak, with a 31-20 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers. There were several players whose performances stood out in the contest. A few of those performances were notable, even if they couldn't help the Hoosiers get over the hump.

Karan Higdon

Michigan running back Karan Higdon had a nice workman-like 101 yards on 21 carries. Higdon isn't the flashiest back in the Big Ten, but he's run for over 1,000 yards on the season.

Shea Patterson

Patterson hurt the Hoosiers with his arm and his legs. Patterson completed 16-of-28 passes for 250 yards and a touchdown. He also carried nine times for 68 yards. It's hard to stop an offense with a quarterback that can hurt you any way he wants.

Rashan Gary

The Michigan defensive lineman went wild on Indiana, recording nine tackles. He also harassed Indiana quarterback Patrick Ramsey all day, recording one sack himself and sharing the credit on another.

Stevie Scott

The Indiana running back found yards where few running backs have managed against Michigan this season. Scott carried 30 times for 139 yards. He also had a 35-yard run, as well as a touchdown. Scott doesn't get mentioned a lot when I talk about the best backs in the conference, yet, but the freshman back topped 1,000 yards for the season on Saturday.

Peyton Ramsey

The Indiana quarterback didn't have a great game, but, like Patterson, he did manage to rack up yards through the air and on the ground. Ramsey threw for 195 yards and a touchdown, while also running for 51 yards in what was eventually another Indiana loss.
