There were just three games on the slate for the NBA Tuesday. However, one of those games was an overtime thriller, with a huge performance from one star. Below is a look at which five NBA players stepped up big on Tuesday (October 23).
Blake Griffin - Detroit Pistons
Griffin easily had the performance of the night. The big man scored an NBA-high of 50 points for Tuesday, including the game-winning sequence in overtime. Griffin had 50 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and a blocked shot in the victory.

Anthony Davis - New Orleans Pelicans
Right now, there's a short list of NBA MVP candidates, and Davis is right near or at the top. On Tuesday, his Pelicans won, 116-109, over the Los Angeles Clippers. Davis was the main factor again. The big man scored 34 points to go with 13 rebounds, two assists, a steal, and five blocks. Not bad at all!

Nikola Jokic - Denver Nuggets
It was a rather balanced scoring affair for the Denver Nuggets in Tuesday night's victory. However, Jokic continues to achieve double-doubles and flirt with the triple-doubles. Tuesday's stat line was a modest 14 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and a steal. The Nuggets won by 14 points over Sacramento.

Joel Embiid - Philadelphia 76ers
Right now, it's been big men who seem to be making a name for themselves in early MVP candidacy. Joel Embiid is right up there with Davis and Greek Freak. In Tuesday's overtime thriller, Embiid finished with 33 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks.

Tobias Harris - Los Angeles Clippers
One of the players that Blake Griffin was traded for was Tobias Harris. While his team was on the losing side of things tonight, Harris put in a top performance. The Clippers forward had 26 points, nine boards, and three assists.
