The Fire Ant is a common name of insect species belonging to the genus Solenopsis. There are over 200 species that cause fire Ant Stings in animals and human beings. The complication is also named as a ginger ant bite and tropical fire ant stings.

Most of the insect bites in the US come from yellow jackets, bees, hornets, and wasps. Early symptoms of the allergy include severe pain, redness, flushing, swelling, hives, itching, and allergic reactions. The disease can be cured with immunotherapy; however, the following home remedies have no alternative.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar is one of the most effective and useful home remedies to treat fire ant sting. It helps reduce the discomfort and has allergic and alkaloid proteins to cure the complication. Plus, Apple cider vinegar has excellent acidic, anti-itching, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties that help get rid of inflammation and swelling.

Take a few drops of raw apple cider vinegar and massage the affected area using your fingertips. Alternatively, you can mix two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and one tablespoon of almond oil. Warm this solution for a few minutes, and massage the affected area for two to three minutes.

Baking soda

Baking soda has no alternative when it comes to curing fire ant stings.

It helps lessen the redness and itching of the skin. Baking soda acts as a natural neutralizer that helps cure the disease in a few days. Plus, it prevents the risks of infection to a greater extent.

Mix three tablespoons of baking soda and one teaspoon of lemon juice to prepare a paste. Apply it on the affected area twice per day; alternatively, you can try the mixture of baking soda and almond oil.

Apply it on the affected area and leave for ten to twenty minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water, and repeat the process thrice per week.

Oatmeal

For any inflammation and infectious disease, oatmeal is a safe and effective home remedy. It contains anti-inflammatory, soothing and anti-irritating properties. Regular use of oatmeal provides relief from itching and reduces inflammation.

It is also good for the skin and prevents wrinkles, pimples, and dark spots. Oatmeal contains antibacterial properties and prevents obesity.

Add one cup of colloidal oatmeal to one glass of lukewarm water, and stir properly. Soak in this solution for half an hour, and repeat the process two to three times a day for better results. Alternatively, you can prepare oatmeal juice at home and use it as a soft drink, depending on the severity of your symptom.
