Other HPE-related news
HPE has completed the spinoff of much of its software business, merging it with the UK-based Micro Focus. The spinoff marks the end of HPE’s disastrous 2011 acquisition of British software maker Autonomy, which it bought for a whopping $11 billion. The company’s enterprise software businesses have been merged with the UK-based software firm Micro Focus, according to Reuters.
HPE was formed when the once giant IT company known as Hewlett-Packard split into two companies, the enterprise-focused HPE and the PC business group HP Inc. The spinoff comes as the company starts to narrow its focus on data center space.
