"Pitch Perfect" actress Anna Kendrick has a live-action Christmas movie in the works. She will soon star as the daughter of Santa Claus in the movie "Nicole" from Disney.
"Nicole" will center on Anna Kendrick as the daughter pushed to take over the family business following the retirement of Santa Claus, according to Screen Rant. Nicole's brother, played by "Saturday Night Live's" Bill Hader, doesn't have what it takes to assume their dad's duties as he ends up ruining one Christmas Eve, so she needs to step up.

"Nicole" will come from scribe Marc Lawrence ("Miss Congeniality") with Susanne Todd and Louie Provost as producers.
Filming will begin on Oct. 23 and wrap up on Jan. 19 next year.
The movie has a targeted November 2019 release date. A director has not yet been named.
This film is one of two Santa-inspired movies that Disney wants to release for the holidays. “Dashing Through the Snow” with Kevin Hart is also in the works as per The Hollywood Reporter. The actor will play jolly old St. Nick in this offering.
Anna Kendrick and ‘Pitch Perfect 3’
Meanwhile, fans of Anna Kendrick will see her on the big screen this Dec. 22 as “Pitch Perfect 3” will finally hit theaters. The movie will bring Kendrick’s character, Beca, and her singing group, the Barden Bellas, abroad as they entertain U.S. troops fighting in Afghanistan.
The film, however, might not be the last “Pitch Perfect” installment. Anna Kendrick told Entertainment Weekly that she loves working with her co-stars so much and she’s willing to do more of “Pitch Perfect” until “forever.”
“We spend every waking moment together,” the actress shared. “We’re shooting together constantly, we’re in the hair and makeup trailer together,” she remarked, adding, “When we’re not shooting, we’re in a green room together.”
“Pitch Perfect 3” is expected to break box office records again just like the 2012 and 2015 installments.
The movie also stars Brittany Snow (Chloe), Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), Hailey Steinfeld (Emily), Anna Camp (Aubrey) and Elizabeth Banks (Gail).

Anna Kendrick is also currently working on the set of “A Simple Favor” with Blake Lively. The thriller written by Jessica Sharzer and directed by Paul Feig is based on a novel by Darcey Bell.
It is about a mom blogger (Kendrick) who finds out the truth about her best friend’s (Lively) disappearance. The film has no release date yet.
