"Shark Tank" star Barbara Corcoran will hoof it for the glittering Mirrorball Trophy when "Dancing With The Stars" 2017 begins Sept. 18 on ABC, according to an Aug. 31 E! Online exclusive. But the successful TV personality, entrepreneur, and businesswoman wasn't always on board with the idea of joining ABC's long-running reality dance competition.

Barbara Corcoran initially rejected the idea of joining 'DWTS' cast

During a March 15, 2016, exclusive interview for the now-defunct Examiner.com, Corcoran shied away from the idea of following in the footsteps of fellow "Shark Tank" notables Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec, who both strutted their stuff during previous seasons of "DWTS." When asked if she'd accept an invitation to join up, she replied "I wouldn't because I have a 10-year old at home...

It takes I think three months of dedicated time, eight hours a day, and I'm not going to take that time away from my 10-year old."

Corcoran did, however, express confidence in her potential dance ability when she noted "I've got tremendous legs. They look good, they work good, and they're really, really strong... So I'm a perfect candidate" for "Dancing with the Stars," though she added that --at the time-- producers had not yet extended an offer. (See the full video below.)

Since she has not yet confirmed her participation, she also hasn't yet explained her change of heart, but one additional bit of information is out: Per E News, Corcoran will team up with "DWTS" pro Keo Motsepe during her quest for the season 25 title.

The 27-year old South African last partnered the legendary Charo during the spring season of "Dancing with the Stars."

More 'DWTS' 2017 cast leaks

After a largely silent spoiler season, Aug. 31 ushered in a virtual tidal wave of casting leaks from a number of sources, including E! and "Dancing with the Stars" fan site PureDWTS.

In addition to Barbara Corcoran, other celebrities rumored to be taking part in "DWTS" this fall are "Malcolm in the Middle" alum Frankie Muniz, Paralympic swimmer turned ESPN personality Victoria Arlen, NBA star Derek Fisher, "Hamilton" alum Jordan Fisher, and violinist Lindsay Stirling.

Previous reports also pegged "Total Divas" star Nikki Bella, 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey, and TV personality Vanessa Minnillo Lachey as season 25 hopefuls.

The sole pairing formally confirmed by show producers to date is that of "Property Brothers" star Drew Scott and Emma Slater, who appeared on "Good Morning America" together on Aug. 30.
