Mama June Shannon boasts a new self after weight loss, plastic surgery, and ditching "bad men" in her upcoming Reality TV show. Yet she can't seem to give up ex-boyfriend "Sugar Bear" Mike Thompson. Epic rows between Mama June and Thompson's new wife Jennifer Lamb are predicted. Stuck in the middle is Alana Thompson, the star of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and the reason these people were ever on reality television in the first place.
Mama June loses weight but not 'bad men'?
WE tv "Mama June: From Not to Hot" promises a complete makeover for the reality show celebrity.
The mom of four brags up her glitzy new home and weight loss surgery (which is really plastic surgery, not gastric bypass or bariatric surgery). Whatever procedures June's undergoing--tummy tuck, chin reduction, facelift--she promises to be unrecognizable even to herself. Shannon also boasts a healthier lifestyle--gone is the junk food Honey Boo Boo loves and June's toxic relationships. But then, Shannon invites Sugar Bear and his new spouse Jennifer Lamb on her reality show and tempers flare.
Jennifer Lamb undercut Mama June's weight loss?
So Mama June's weight loss is impressive. But her old self casts a long shadow. However, despite the in-fighting, Shannon may not have drawn first blood.
"From Hot to Not" teases that Lamb will use any method possible to take out her former rival. Viewers see Jennifer Lamb try to come between Honey Boo Boo and her mom. Lamb may even derail Shannon's weight loss (and all out of love of the self-confessed bisexual cheater Sugar Bear). Neither woman will admit it but jealousy appears to be at the core.
Can Mama June keep her promises?
"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" showed these reality TV celebrities in trainwreck mode. Several times, Shannon hooked up with the child molester Mark McDaniel who sexually assaulted her daughter. Obesity stalks the family. "The Doctors" actually warned June that if she and Honey Boo Boo didn't lose weight they were on the death fastrack.
Money problems and legal trouble hound them. But June declares that all this is behind her. She's got a new home and new life in which she makes healthier choices. Getting rid of the "bast--d" Sugar Bear was one such choice. So why stir the pot by having Mike Thompson on the reality television show?
