"Titanfall 2" developer Respawn Entertainment made a surprising move this week, it's changing its course. It’s now joining the fast-growing world of VR gaming.
As reported earlier by the game-focused site Game Debate, the studio is reportedly working on a super secret VR exclusive shooter game. However, the exact details of the rumored VR exclusive game are still unknown. Respawn declined to make any comment about the VR story. However, the gaming-focused website learned that the developer is aiming for a 2019 release date for the rumored VR exclusive title.
Based on a recent studio’s blog post and newly released announcement video, it seems like the next game will be modern or historical warfare title. But according to Game Debate, it’s not "Titanfall" related. Instead, it will be an all-new IP and is some sort of a shooter game, the website claimed.
The VR gaming has gained some popularity in the past years and quickly become a more viable gaming platform. Last week, the studio announced that it entered a partnership with VR tech developer Oculus. It also revealed to the gaming world that it’s working on an Oculus Rift VR title.
Respawn made some big changes to its shooter game
Respawn recently confirmed that it will focus on tweaking the first-person shooter game for the rest of the year.
This also means that there will be no new maps coming, according to Twinfinite.
The gaming studio made the huge announcement in a recent post at Frontier News Network, detailing the patches slated to arrive in October, November, and December. The website said that developer has decided to focus more on some important bug fixes, balancing changes the quality of life improvements.
However, Respawn also got plans for some additions, which include purchasable weapon skin.
