One of the most popular tourist destinations in Ecuador, San Rafael waterfall, has mysteriously disappeared. Presently, an investigation is ongoing to find out the cause of the disappearance. There is a possibility that the river which has been in existence since time immemorial was swallowed by a sink hole situated under the bed of the river. According to a geologist, the sink hole could be as a result of the earthquakes that occur in the region.
