Former Ecuador President Correa was awarded eight years in jail. The companies that gave kickbacks to him were awarded profitable contracts from the government. When the whole world is shut down because of the virus outbreak, the bench officials were noticed donning masks during the special hearing. More than 16 other associates were also pronounced guilty. All involved have been forbidden from taking any role in the service of the country for twenty-five years. All the accused have said they haven't done anything wrong during the proceedings.
