The coronavirus threat has completely brought the tourism industry to a grinding halt as almost all countries have banned tourists from entering. Most countries have declared a lockdown, meaning nobody can come in or go out. China is slowly opening its heritage tourist spots to tourists as the pandemic has slowed down in the country, according to the BBC. Defacing or mutilating the heritage sites is considered a heinous crime. Recently, a tourist was spotted defacing the Great Wall of China and authorities have decided to publicly shame such people and blacklist them.
