Even White House Chief of Staff John Kelly appeared to be embarrassed by the speech delivered by Donald Trump at the UN General Assembly on Wednesday. He was seen in a Twitter post apparently looking distressed while listening to Trump talk. First Lady Melania Trump displayed a serious face, Time reported.

The facepalm photo went viral on Twitter and elicited a lot of reactions from users of the microblogging site.

Mary Altaffer of the Associated Press took the image of Trump. Trump called North Korean leader Kim Jong-un a “rocket man on a suicide mission.” The president also threatened to totally destroy the communist state in East Asia.

Resting B*tch Face

Anubis8, who posted the facepalm photo of Kelly on Twitter, called Trump a joke and embarrassment. Lynn Robertson assured the chief of staff that Americans feel his pain. Jhamel agreed that she, too, is embarrassed by the words that came out of the mouth of the real estate billionaire.

Kyle Feldscher tweeted that Kelly went through some sort of existential crisis when Trump delivered his speech. However, Mashable clarified that while it may seem that the expression of Kelly is the terrified face of a person who was just reminded that Trump is the president, it is the way that the former Homeland Security secretary listens to speeches.

Kelly has been caught out on several occasions, including the other embarrassing press conference by Trump on the Charlottesville violence. In that one, he looks like he hates his job and is on the verge of tears. The website believes that Kelly could be suffering from a variation of the Resting B*tch Face.

Shouting match

However, in breaking news, Unite Alberta tweeted that after Trump’s UN General Assembly speech, there was allegedly a two or three minutes of yelling behind closed doors.

In early September, in his first major conflict with Trump, the new chief of staff said that it would be the last time he would tolerate being the subject or the president’s ire.

Trump did not like the suggestion of his staff that he refrain from injecting politics into his governance.

Since Kelly was the most senior aide in his presence, the president vented his ire on Kelly.

Trump’s ignorant hate speech belonged to the medieval times, not the 21st century, Javad Zarife wrote. It was not just the president who was criticized for his UN speech. Melania’s speech also elicited similar negative reactions on Twitter such as this one from Dr. Jill Stein.

Clinton calls Trump’s speech 'dangerous'

At “The Late Show” with host Stephen Colbert, Trump’s nemesis, Hillary Clinton, criticized the president’s speech as “very dark” and “dangerous.” Trump said that while the US has great patience and strength, if Washington is forced to defend itself or its allies, it will have no choice except to totally destroy North Korea.

“No nation on Earth has an interest in seeing this band of criminals arm itself with nuclear weapons and missiles,” he said, The New York Daily News reported.
